About Us

Why the Kiwanis Club of Bytown . . . because

We are a small group of volunteers that make a real difference through Fundraising and Community Service

Our largest fundraising event is our annual "Pay It Forward" Golf Event (18 holes of Golf - Silent Auction - a variety of Food Station Types with Wine Pairing - Bar Services)

Our club members participate, along with other Ottawa Kiwanis clubs in the preparation and delivery of Christmas Food Baskets to local area families

Our members also get involved with various other community events such as School Book drives, Winter Gloves to intercity ministries, Chromebook donations to students, assisting various Shelter homes, and community clean-ups

Presently, we are Ottawa's smallest Kiwanis Club.  We have monthly meetings in order to discuss ideas, direct and approve needed community funding and organizational requests, share testimonials, and listen to invited guest speakers.  Our meetings are informal dinner get-togethers held at local Restaurants, Pubs, and Clubs (Nepean Yacht Club, Barley Mow, Fratelli's)

Our meeting style and venues are different than other Kiwanis Clubs and our membership consists of prominent local business owners, financial business managers, and some well-experienced new retirees.

We need good people like you to help make a difference in our community - and - we would be honoured to have you come and check out what we are up to!
